Itinerary
Arrival in Leh – Transfer to Sham (2 hours)
- After arriving at Leh airport, leave for Sham valley.
- Spend the day relaxing and refreshing yourself.
- Overnight stay at Sham valley.
Sham – Lamayuru – Kargil (4 hours)
- After breakfast, leave for Kargil, from there visit Lamayuru monastery and enjoy the panoramic view of moonland, later move towards Mulbekh and reach Kargil.
- Overnight stay at the hotel and relax.
- Overnight stay at Kargil.
Kargil excursion with Drass and Mushkoh valley for bear sighting (5-6 hours)
- After breakfast in the morning, leave for an excellent excursion to Mushkoh valley for bear sighting, then visit Drass village and war memorial and return to Kargil.
- Stay at Kargil and relax.
Kargil – Leh (6 hours)
- Drive back to Leh via Kargil
- After reaching Leh, explore Leh city.
- Overnight stay in Leh.
Leh – Pangong Lake (4-5 hours)
- After breakfast, cross Changla Pass and head towards Pangong Lake. Enjoy the drive to Pangong Lake. After reaching Pangong Lake, enjoy the serene frozen lake.
- Rest overnight at a local homestay.
- Overnight stay in Pangong Lake.
Pangong Lake – Hanle via Tsaga La (6-7 hours)
- After breakfast, set out on a beautiful drive towards Hanle.
- Drive from Loma Bend to Hanle, passing Chushul Village and Tsaga La (15,200 ft) en route, which is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory, one of the highest altitude observatories in the world and a popular stargazing spot.
- Expect wildlife sightings on your way to Hanle.
- Enjoy staying with the locals at the local guest houses/homestays.
- Overnight stay in Hanle.
Hanle - Leh via Chumathang
- After breakfast in the morning, drive to Leh via Loma Bend and Mahay, visit the hot springs at Chumathang and Thikse Gompa and then reach Leh.
- Evening rest.
- Overnight stay in Leh.
Leh - Local
- After breakfast in the morning, head out to visit Thikse Gompa, Sindhu Ghat, later head to the Hall of Fame Museum and Shanti Stupa.
- Evening: Relax in free time.
- After sightseeing, take an overnight stay in Leh.
Leh- Departure
- In the morning, board a flight back to your destination from Leh airport.
